The Psalter is arranged in numerical order for the days of the month, which is Cranmer's tradition. The Psalms are not arranged for the time of day as in the Catholic Psalter, say, a morning Psalm for Laudes, etc. I prefer the latter for _daily_ prayer, that is praying the Psalms that fit the hours of the Office, yet some scholars (Bruggeman, Hossfeld & Zenger, N. T. Wright) support the former as a way of reading the Psalms. The translation is from the Coverdale Bible of a.D. 1535. In all, a handy tool for prayer from the a.D. 1928 Book of Common Prayer. The book is published with an eye toward the Anglican Ordinariate of the Catholic Church.
